Fine Art Photos
I mainly photograph trees in different places around the world, but my favourite landscape is the South Bohemia, where my ancestors came from. The forest is an inexhaustible source of artistic expression for me. In the summer I photograph wild streams and details of mosses, lichens and plants, in the winter snow-covered lonely trees or frost in the treetops. I like to photograph at the edge of the forest just after sunrise, but even in the afternoon, during the "golden hour" when the sun is above the horizon, you can get some amazing images of the forest kingdom. For more intimate lighting, I venture deeper into the forest to hard to reach places. I look for sunlight through the mist and branches, the last signs of autumn or the first snow.
The art of high quality prints
When you venture into the art of high quality prints, you go beyond conventional photography and enter the realm of artistic expression. With the right materials and techniques, photographic creations have the potential to inspire delight and admiration. Archival pigment inks are often used for artistic printing, allowing you to print in a wide range of colours. EPSON printers are suitable for printing on high quality papers. For my art prints, I chose an ink that has four shades of black. These can produce a true black colour.
High quality papers for fine art printing
I print on barite or other quality paper - Tecco, Ilford, FOMEI, Hahnemühle, to preserve the artistic effect and quality of the work. For the American market, it is → printed directly in the USA on Kodak papers.
Exhibitions and expositions
At the turn of the year, the retrospective exhibition organized by the Lotus Centre presented my selected works that are united by peace of mind. The exhibition focused on three themes: a Buddhist teacher, a stupa and trees, and harmoniously combined architecture, spirituality and nature. I created a short invitation on Instagram and YouTube, and the exhibition event was shared on my Photographic profile on Facebook.
In January 2024, a solo exhibition was held at Ye's kafe studio in Prague 7. The service with good mood makes Ye's Kafe an ideal stop if you are in Letná and want to have an extra moment with art. The seating is much nicer than the gallery, it's small but cosy. The coffee selection is inspired by Berlin. The exhibition is for sale, ask for a discount. There is an exhibition event shared on my Photographic profile on Facebook.
The exhibition took place in February 2024 at the Skautský institut on Old Town Square in Prague 1. The Scout Institute is part of the Prague Creative Centre, a block of terraced houses between Malé náměstí and náměstí Franz Kafka. I have had a relationship with scouting since my childhood and I am happy to exhibit my outdoor and nature-oriented work in a place where the memory of scouting is cherished. I will announce the dates of the exhibitions on the exhibition page and on → my social media.
From February to April 2024 there will be a joint exhibition in the artists' sales gallery Salón, Keramická 218/6, Prague 7 from 29.2.2024 - 9.4.2024. Come to the opening on 29.2.2024 at 18.00, and you can also join the exhibition event.
I will inform you about the dates of other exhibitions on the exhibition page and on → my social networks.

Buying art with cryptocurrencies is popular
Do you want to buy my art with cryptocurrencies? Yes, you can. As an option for transferring value, it's standard today. The decision of buyers to put some of the value in their cryptocurrencies into art is self-evident. Both are limited, it grows in value over time, and one experiences something specific in the process. You can buy my art prints (Fine Art Prints) with Ethereum, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies by agreement.

Places you can't forget
Romania is an amazing country. I swam in the Black Sea near a fishing village and saw big seagulls on the beach. There are unique mountains with unusual rocks and deep caves. The people speak Romanian, which is like Italian and French, but with a few Russian words. The favourite food is fried fish and meatballs. In Ukraine I saw a statue of a two-headed eagle from the Crimean War and took a boat trip to Balaklava Bay. The Orthodox whisper their sins to the saint's relics. Other people in Crimea often profess Islam. Tatars smile a lot and usually run restaurants where they cook well. In the countryside you can eat pierogi. In Poland, the Góry Stołowe and Łężyckie Skałki nature reserves are good places to take photographs. They look like an African savannah and the snow sometimes lasts until June. The Błędne Skały are also amazing, with large rocks and narrow passages.
Things I use when I travel
I like the Moleskine notebooks with the rounded edges and elastic band, they're very durable, so I use them. The vinyl cover makes them easy to wipe clean if you spill something on them. The rounded corners mean less damage to the edges from carrying. All Moleskine collections are designed in Italy and manufactured in the Far East, where paper was invented in the 2nd century AD.
Portraits with the OLYMPUS M.45mm F1.8 lens
I have been using the good old Olympus Four Thirds lens system for a long time and I still like it. Olympus Four Thirds lenses have impressive sharpness, colour rendition is accurate and consistent, and distortion control is excellent. The M.45mm F1.8 portrait lens in particular is one I've grown to love. It has high sharpness throughout the frame, good colour rendition and good distortion control, making it a useful lens system for both portrait and landscape photography. It has a fixed aperture and bokeh is very nice. I sometimes use the standard M.40-150mm lens on trees in places that are hard to get to. The focus speed could be faster, but for plants and trees it doesn't matter. The Olympus brand is now being replaced by the OM SYSTEM brand, which will appear on cameras, lenses and accessories in the future.
Revealing hidden harmony - complementary colours in nature's palette
I'm one of those people who always look for interesting colour contrasts on my expeditions, and there's nothing like finding the perfect colour sheet and immediately sensing what colour would go with the background. Colour harmony refers to a pleasing and balanced arrangement of colours in a composition. It is created by combining colours in specific ways to create a sense of unity and aesthetics. Whether it's a bright blue sky as a backdrop, a bright red branch, or green vegetation on a tree stump. There is something special about how seemingly opposing colours can come together to create a unique and captivating scene. Knowledge of complementary colours enhances nature photography.
